=====Guild Announcements

Congratulations to Lynne Schwarzenberg for winning the election for Vice-President.
We look forward to working with you in an "official capacity".

Thank you, Debbie, for being our VP for all these years.
You've helped with a lot of our projects and in many other ways.
We will still look forward to your help and input in guild projects.

_Sharon

We were contacted by the NY PC Guild for a guild collaboration. They proposed reduced fees to classes and functions between the CT and NYC guilds. So we would be charged "member rates" to their events and we would extend to them the same consideration.  All that is required is up-to-date membership in our respective guilds.

Letter from NY Polymer Clay Guild:
Hi Sharon,
Our guild meets monthly--usually the 2nd or 3rd Wednesday evening each month (except Dec. Jan. July & August) for a membership meeting. The week-end following, we have a workshop with a polymer clay artist. Our meetings are held at St. John's University, Manhattan Campus -- It used to be the College of Insurance. On Murray Street. Just a block from ground zero. E-z to get to-- the west side drive goes right past and a parking lot is next to the building $15/week-end day.
If you go to our web site, you'll see our schedule. Any of your members who would like to take a work shop, could sign up at the members' rates. We have (tentatively) Celie Fago -- March 27 and 28. and Donna Kato in April.
For any party-people in your group, we're having a Blues Dinner on Wednesday, Jan. 14th from 6-whenever. We'll have a swap, something blue, but not jewelry and some raffles (Chinese) and some good food. It's at Niles on 7th ave., opposite Penn Station. $45/person

Check out our web site. It's usually up to date. www.nypcg.org.
Enjoy the holidays.

Election for Guild Officers will be held today. Diane will be presiding. Please fill out your ballots. There were a few absentee ballots submitted.

Bottles of Hope: Some of our bottles went to the Relay for Life Conference. 2 days after the conference Tracy was contacted by someone from the American Cancer Society in Denver who is very interested in getting involved in the project. Tracy connected her with a contact in the Mile High Polymer Clay Guild to teach her how to make BOH.

Tracy and Terry both need bottles to distribute in Danbury & at Yale. Members are always encouraged to bring BOH to the meetings for Tracy & Terry to distribute. The best way to bring your BOH is to place the finished bottle in a snack size baggie with a message of hope & a BOH brochure. Copies can be found for downloading from the BOH website. If you cannot do the packaging please just bring in your bottles.
