===== Minutes
MINUTES FROM THE JAN 2003 MTG OF SCPCG 1/17/04
Meeting called to order at 11:43 am
Marie Harriman gave a demo on beads, explaining different sizes & shapes, uses etc.
There were 17 members and guests in attendance
Sharon passed out a summary of guild activities for 2003. Sharon will also be handing out guild "wish lists". Please fill them out and let us know what you would like the guild to do.
A Board of Directors meeting was held last week to organize planning for the year 2004. Sharon handed out copies of the Treasurer's Report. In 2003 the guild spent more than we took in intentionally to spend down some of the guild's assets. Most of this was focused on projects such as Bottles of Hope - restocking the box, hosting BOH workshops & website expenses.
Clay Day: Feb 7th 10 - 5 or 6 pm St Paul's church in Wallingford. Open to members and guests. Free. We will have a box out for anyone who wants to put in a small donation for the church. The "theme" will be beads & Bottles of Hope to encourage people to make Bead Strand beads and Bottles of Hope because there is always a demand.
Sharon explained the concept of the guild Bead Strands and what the Bottles of Hope Project is all about to the new members and guests. Check the BOH website for further details.
Classes:
Lisa Pavelka will be teaching a workshop in Toscano Italy.
Diane Villano will be teaching a Mosaic Amulet workshop in Guilford and a 2-day workshop for the New York Guild in covering paper mache forms. Details at
www.nypcg.orgDebbie Goodrow will be teaching at Clinton Adult Ed.
