=====Classes

Diane Villano will be teaching a one-day workshop at the Guilford Art Center, 411 Church Street, Guilford, CT.
CREATING NEW BEADING DESIGNS
Saturday, December 3
10:00am-4:00pm
This is a process-oriented polymer clay millefiore workshop for those ready to build on their basic caning skills. Learn how to effectively combine simple canes to create intricate designs. Learn the techniques of color shading and element padding. Bead making and covering two and three-dimensional objects will also be discussed.
Prerequisite: you must be familiar with the basic spiral, bull's eye and striped loaf canes.
Materials list provided.

Lynne Schwarzenberg will be teaching Floral Tile Bracelets at the Crafter’s Café in Overlea, Maryland on January 14-15, 2006 and at the Art School at Old Church in Demarest, NJ on March 19, 2006. More information to follow.

MINUTES FROM THE OCTOBER 2005 MTG OF SCPCG
10/16/05
15 people including 5 guests attended the October meeting
Meeting called to order at 11:40 am
The meeting was held in the library across the street from the Rock Garden due to flooding in the basement.

Don't forget to bring 3 beads for the Bead Strand (and an extra for the bead strand coordinator if you can). 1 strand will be raffled off to a guild member, 1 will be given to the Rock Garden and 1 will become part of the Traveling Exhibit.

Nominations were made and elections will take place in November. Sharon - President, Lynne - Vice President, Sue - Treasurer, Christy - Secretary

Lynne will be teaching a class on tile bracelets October 22nd in Bridgeport.

Diane will be teaching googly-eyed pumpkins at the North Haven Michaels from 9:30-11:30. She will be teaching a two part class on Christmas candy beads on November 13th and 20th.

Gerry will be teaching PMC pendants on November 19th at 10:30 in her home in Guilford but you can sign up at the Rock Garden.

Tracy explained the Bottles of Hope program and gave an update. A friend in Maine will be running workshops for Teens at Risk. 2 Girl Scout Troops will be making bottles. There will be a January workshop at a local church in Newtown. Dianne's coworker made a donation. The Relay for Life will be coming up in the Spring and will need bottles.

An explanation was given about the Guild library. A $30 deposit is due in January and allows you to take out movies and books for 1 month. The deposit is given back at the end of the year if everything has been safely returned. Membership dues are $15 for January to January.

The traveling exhibit is at the Russell library in Middletown. It will be at the Acton library in Old Saybrook for 6 weeks.
