The Cutting Edge A workshop with Dan Cormier and Tracy Holmes Saturday October 28 and Sunday October 29, 2006 Sponsored by the New Hampshire Polymer Clay Guild http://www.nhpcg.org At the Hopkinton Public Library in Hopkinton, NH (near Concord NH) Cost: $160.00 for current members of the NHPC Guild or the National Polymer Clay Guild. Non-member price: $180.00

Requests for a reservation should be e-mailed immediately to the registrar, Debbie Gile at dgile@conknet.com Reservations will be confirmed when a $50.00 deposit is received by the registrar within 7 days of the e-mail request. Final payment must be RECEIVED by the registrar no later than September 25, 2006.

Participants will receive workshop details when final payment has been received.
Participants from outside the area will be supplied with hotel information on request.
Cancellations before September 25th will incur a $50.00 penalty. Cancellations made on September 25th or later will not receive a refund unless a substitute student fills the space.

Michele Raffaele, is scheduled to teach a polymer clay jewelry class for North Haven Adult Education starting on September 26 Tues evenings for 4 weeks. Tuition: $40.00.

Michele is also going to teach a multi-media jewelry class at Artsplace in Cheshire for 7 weeks on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 Tuition: $90.00 for non residents - including all materials. Artsplace is at 1220 Waterbury Rd. Cheshire. tel. 272-2787. At 5:30-7:00 Michele is teaching a similar class for kids in Grades 4-7. Both will be using wire, shrink plastic, polymer clay, and paper to make jewelry.

Lynne Ann Schwarzenberg will be teaching classes in Dallas, TX and Las Vegas in September and October, and will be attending “Sandy Camp” in San Diego, CA as well. Lynne also has scheduled classes in February at the Lone Star Retreat in Houston and The Creative Palette convention in St. Mary’s Georgia. Lynne will be scheduling a class at guild member Marilyn Malcarne’s home in the Deep River/Essex area in November. Details to follow.

There were 12 members and 2 guests at the August meeting.

Demo by Gerri Pieper using air dry porcelain clay available at www.amaco.com

Next meeting 9/6 (2nd Sat) because the Bead Bazaar is Sept 16 . Volunteers needed to work the guild’s booth.
Guild gets 10% of sales if you work, 20% if you don't.
Bring beads to meeting or work something out with Sharon via email.
Display cards are available from Sharon and pricing will be discussed at the meeting.

A slide show of Clay Connection 2006 was shown...great pictures of a great weekend.
Discussion on how to improve retreat for 2008.

Tricia would like someone to take over the traveling exhibit in January. After 2 years she has exhausted her area. A list of all the libraries in the state with contact info is available.

Clay Day at St. Pauls in Wallingford scheduled for Oct. 28th ...to be confirmed.
