Reminder – Clay Day June 4!

Create with Clay Day

June 4th 11:30 to 4:30pm ~ OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Sorry if you missed it - here's a LINK to some of the Bottles of Hope that were made

West Haven Public Library

Making Time • Making Art • Making Friends

Ready to try something new? To explore your artistic side

(even if you think you don't have one)? Do you like trying new things at no cost to you?

Do you know someone who has had a rough day? You both need to play with CLAY!

Polymer clay is a fun, easy to use art medium with colors for everyone. Come join us on June 4th at the West Haven Library, and get your hands into it! We will provide all the clay and tools, and some ideas; you bring your fingers. We'll teach you how you can use polymer clay to make items from sculptures to jewelry to home decorations. Age 15 and up due to sharp tools

We'll also be making Bottles of Hope, small former medicine bottles that we

re-purpose into Bottles of Hope, which are freely distributed to anyone who is dealing with the struggles of cancer. If you too know someone who is dealing with cancer or a survivor, you are encouraged to bring your personally made Bottle of Hope to them. And hopefully make some for us to distribute to others.

Hosted at the West Haven Library 300 Elm St West Haven, Ct 06516

We had a great time! Debbie Goodrow and Bob, Debbie Jett, and Jackie McKinney were there. We were joined by a great group of artists. Many wonderful Bottles of Hope were made. Some pens were covered. We had some bottles topped with flower stoppers. We need to do this again !!! Maybe in September. West Haven Library is closed on Saturdays in July and August. I will post more info when we have a date.
