  2. Hi,
I just learned about your guild while in the Polymer Art Summit. Lynn Yuhr had mentioned her class done in your guild. I have a couple of questions.
1- I saw the membership and wonder if it’s best to wait till January to join as it’s almost September?
2- The events etc. that are done via zoom, are they recorded for viewing after the event etc.? I ask because I live in Israel so I am seven ours ahead of you therefore I may not be able to be on during the actual event etc.
    Thank you.

    • Hi Suzan,
Sorry, we don’t record Zoom meetings.
You can come to a few of our Zoom meetings to see if you want to join.
If you do decide to join we could have your membership start in 2023.

The guild has 3 zoom meetings a month.
The regular guild meeting is on the third Saturday of the month at 11 am EST.
The other 2 zoom meetings were spin-off challenges from the 2020 Retreat.

The Cane Challenge Zoom meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm EST – the room opens at 6:15.
Originally there was a video/tutorial that Debbie Goodrow picked out for us to try making and show our results/ask for advice. Now we are going over old tutorials that we didn’t get to, or finding ones on our own.
I send out the emails, so sometimes I suggest a cane to try. (I don’t cane – so I usually visit and admire what everyone else did 😉

The ConneCTion Challenge is on the 1st Saturday of each month at 7:00 pm EST – the room opens at 6:45.
This is a self-assigned challenge and we discuss our projects and show our progress.

I send out the links to the challenges and will make sure I include you in the email.
The link to the guild meeting is in the newsletter that has been showing up a little late recently.
Michelle is the Secretary and she used to send it out on the Wednesday before the meeting – now it’s usually Friday (night) before the meeting – so keep an eye out for it.

I send out the Challenge email ahead of time and a reminder email the day before.
The zooms have been a great way for us to be together through all this covid craziness and have helped with our sanity. Some of us just come to socialize, and that’s OK too.

Hope to see you at one of the zooms.
      Take care,
      Sharon
